We were struggling with breastfeeding in the very early days and could not get any NHS support for one week. We contacted Sabira on a Sunday and were able to get phone advice that same day and a visit the next day and day after. The support was so helpful and reassuring and absolutely invaluable when we were in the midst of worry and lack of sleep. the combination of advice, encouragement and practical feeding help was exactly what we needed, and Sabira really explained our options and pros and cons of these, which can be hard to work out on your own with the noise of the internet. My husband and I found Sabira’s support as our doula so helpful. She really supported us in the first few weeks of having our son, from giving advice on feeding, spotting he may have tongue-tie and helping us set up an appointment with a specialist to get this fixed, to helping with the little things like giving him a bath- she was amazing.
